Been waiting for a matchup like this for a long time, two undefeated blueprintless fighters in their prime facing off giving the fans what they want to see, reminds me of when Joe Calzaghe faced off against human wrecking ball and undefeated German superstar Mario Veit.
If Clevs can get through this test even bigger fights await! Clevs vs Allan Green?????? OMG OMG OMG. |

in all fairness he aint that bad...hes just getting a lot of abuse for the lack of top-end fighters he facing. Personally i think ward should get abuse for never leaving oakland but hes american so it wont happen.

That said, Coyne isn't even close to being world class. Reminds me of Brian Minto. |

Coyne is not a bum as some suggest.. Guillermo Jones apparently came up with some non-descript injury (fell out of a ring if i recall correctly) to avoid Coyne. Don king then had Coyne tied to a contract which stagnated his career - he is newely free of that and i think he will surprise a lot of people against Clev

He's tough and he tries hard, but he's physically limited, isn't great technically, and this will only be his second fight at 175 (where he's never faced anyone I'd even call a journeyman).
The good news for Coyne is that Clev has struggled against a couple of pretty limited fighters, and he doesn't have much experience dealing with southpaws. |

According to Cleverly he "schooled" Bellew over the distance and he's way above him. ![]() "I took Bellew to school over the distance, he was my closest rival over here when we fought last year and I've left the likes of him far behind now." Another Cleverly classic; "At only 25 it's a dream come true to defend my world title in America on such a big show and it takes my career to a whole new level, it's a golden opportunity to make a big statement that I'm the leading man in the light-heavyweight division" Source bscene (2 different, recent articles) |
