Hearns was a true warrior who always dug deep. Even early in his career against Randy Shields, a green Hearns came through a tough test. Against Leonard, he almost got stopped in the 7th round, yet he recovered and almost won. He even got up after getting dropped by Hagler, despite being completely out of it. Against Roldan, Dewitt, Leonard 2, Barkley 2, Delgado and the Virgil Hill, Tommy fought through adversity, injuries and won titles

Yeah he was even in trouble at one point v Dennis Andries. Tommy knew his punch resistance was poor but he loved nothing more to get in the trenches and go for broke with opponents. Even in the Leonard 2 fight, Hearns was badly shaken in the 5th and 12th but he still fought through it. If he had Haglers chin he could have been the greatest of all time.

Tommy took risks he didn't have to, but he was an entertainer

He deserved the decision in the Leonard rematch, but he had to take a serious beating especially in the 12th to survive.

If he had Hagler's chin, he would have been unstoppable! Imagine if Hearns was undefeated with wins over Leonard, Hagler, Benitez, Duran, Hill

Ali was about to pull out between the 14th and 15th rounds in Manilla only for Frazier to do it first. Regardless those 14 rounds were adversity

Think Larry Holmes was a good example as well, knocked down many times but always came back strong.

You right about Holmes, when he fought Norton for the title, that showed what he was made of. Norton had his ass on queer street and Holmes dug down and started turning that shit up. That was my first time seeing a fighter doing that and it inspired me.
