I don't rate Mitchell either but agree that, even though he's not great and has some shocking vulnerabilities, the win over Zab was top drawer.

Did Yuri really win the first Sasakul fight?

Been a while since I watch it but I've got the hard drive whirring right now so I'll give it another look. I'm runnin' on fumes here but my gut says yes he did.

Yeah, I hear ya on Mitchell. Poor man's Camacho every which way you cut it (other than Hector's willingness to at least see out a beating which Mitchell never had in the slightest degree). His skills were pretty good for a short time, but perhaps I am giving him too much credit to call him slightly inferior to a Sasakul or Kittikasem.

Just. Sasakul got out to a really good lead, but Yuri just managed to reel him in. You could argue a draw I think, but I had Yuri by a point at the end.

There are two rounds out of the first 4 that are hard to score. 114-114 or 115-113 either way are fine IMO. I have my scorecard ready to post, will do when I'm at home later.

Was he slightly hurt by Kwang-Shik Song or was it a momentary loss of balance caused by a punch?

Personally I refuse to believe that Orzubek can be hurt.

He was knocked down in the first Thobela fight.

I have that fight and don't remember it.

It took a light heavyweight to drop him I can live with that.

Oh, yeah, the Canto-Maldonado combo We'll never know how quickly Nazarov recovered because of the bell, but he looked alright, he was steaming in and got caught off balance, it happens. Took it better than Catley

Thobela was hurt much worse later on in the fight though.

This is a great post. It has many things in it that I like. Analysis. Obscure Korean midgets. And Yuri Ebihara.

Yeah, he looked pretty steady, in my opinion.

A testament to Orzubek's iron will and brutal powah!

I've heard that Nazarov hurt, dropped and pretty much dominated Thobela in the rematch.
Have you seen it, Flea?
