How many times are we going to do it as boxing fans?
Taylor was supposed to outclass and stop him (knocked him out) Abraham was supposed to knock him out cold (Won every round) Bute was supposed to outbox him no problem (had him lifeless on the ropes) Has a top fighter in this time upset the odds as many times as he has? I wont be surprised if Bute opens up as the fave in the rematch, only to have Froch clean his ass once again

Froch is good, but not on the Ward level, but the Bute win was great. I would love to see Froch vs. a moving up Chavez Jr. What a fight.

Go to the right threads and posters and you'll see there are plenty of us who appreciate him just fine.

Froch is a guy who has earned my respect, big time. At first, his arrogance was off putting and he was fighting a couple of guys I liked (Taylor, Ward). But as the Super Six rolled along and I watched Fight Camp 360, he started to grow on me.
Froch is a throwback fighter: he faces the best and gives it his all. I really enjoyed watching him destroy Bute and have him securely on my "must watch" list. |

I cant believe anyone picked Abraham
. I couldnt see anything Abraham could have done to beat Froch. Terrible easy obvious match up to me, before it happend. As for Froch he deserves alot of respect for his willingness to travel, though I think it has cost him. He was jaded by the time he was fighting G Johnson and had problems with travel leading up to Kessler which didnt help him. Froch is a slow, low workrate, old SMW, but is willing to travel to make the big fights happen and has done well with what he has. The annoying thing with Froch is that I often feel he could do more. When Froch has a world title he tends to get lazy, but when he is a challenger (Pascal, Abraham and Bute), he is a different beast who fights with more intensity. But im shocked that anyone would have favoured AA to beat him |
