Actually Duran blew up to about 300 to 320 lbs, and thats when he decided to lose weight..I saw the picture of him at his biggest..It was hard to look at.

Having no defense like Moore it's a wonder Duran didnt ko him earlier. Moore was tough. Duran did lose to nobody Kirkland though

Actually Duran blew up to about 300 to 320 lbs, and thats when he decided to lose weight..I saw the picture of him at his biggest..It was hard to look at.

That is smart that he lost weight. I have to lose weight also. We get older and our metabolism slows down. Did he ever mention being that high in weight and having to lose? I did notice he lost a lot of weight since he looks like the old Duran now. That must have been hard for him to do.

It has been said that when Duran starting fighting at 154 he was havin weight issues. Walkin around at about 170 or 180..thats alot of weight ytou gotta lose to make WW or MW

Duran's weight issues could have started at WW..Maybe that why what happened with Benitez happened.

Hagler was about an inch taller, but Duran's height, reach, chest and waist at lightweight were practically identical to Julio Cesar Chavez's at lightweight. I have no idea why you can't accept that. Duran was not natural at 154. He was fat. it doesn't matter that he fought at 154 as early as 1978. All that proves is that he was overweight.

I don't think he lost much power ascending to welterweight frankly. He was always kinda big and strong for a lightweight anyway, and remember he turned pro when he was like 15 years old or something.

Hagler is like 5'6 max.

Duran was a big lightweight and Hagler a small middleweight.

Duran is on the right after a enjoying the sun for too long.

Probably why these guys were so freaking tough was that they were so stocky.
Same goes for Tua, Tyson too etc. (Barbados Joe Walcott and Sam Langford too)
