You could argue Khaosai over Pong' for opposition but I give Wonjongkam the edge as 'lineal' champion. I FORGOT CHIONOI PUT HIM IN 4TH You could argue Sot over Wonjongkam & Khaosai if you cared to.

The more I look into bantam history, the more I begin to side with the view that he was the best of the belt holders during his era. not 100% convinced yet but I'm getting there.

It's a horrible era. If they'd all fought each other (or even just Sahaprom Vs Rafa) it all would've been worthwhile.

I know! such a shit era that really highlights the shit with so many belts. I mean the point of a belt is for a a man to claim to the world he's the best outt here, with so many guys having belts during long reigns, nto fighting the best is quite terrible.

Many examples of it.

And folks wonder why I have a lesser view of more recent era's than those further back...not saying it never happened before though!

was Tim Austin the most arbitrary pound for pound entrant of this time? he would break into the top 10 every so often.

yeah boxing began like this really. fighter's claiming to be the best, more than one per division, but usually they actually fought each other.

Not even that far back. The Paul Pender situation. Cuevas and Palomino never facing off. TV deal meaning Yuh and Chang never faced off. Floyd and Pacquiao is heinous because we're living it, but look at the lower weights from the 80s onwards especially, and it's actually quite stressful taking it all in.

yeah it is terrible because it takes so much digging to make any sense of it. I swear I've spent double the time on BW than I have on any other division, it's driving me mad
