Andrzej Fonfara, according to "Przegląd Sportowy", recieved an offer to fight Andre Ward. The WBC and WBA super middleweight would like to fight the Pole in March or April. The 24-year old Warsaw native will fight Tommy Karpency in November for the vacant IBO light heavyweight title. If he wins, in his next fight he might face the WBO LHW champion Nathan Cleverly, who decisioned Karpency in Feburary. A more interesting, and also a bigger money offer, would be a fight with Andre Ward. Ward's camp apparently asked Fonfara, if he would be willing to take the fight in March or April. Ward, nicknamed "Son of God", is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world. His resume includes wins over Artur Abraham, Carl Froch and Chad Dawson. If this fight was to happen, Fonfara would have to go a weight class lower. "What wouldn't anyone do to have a fight with a champion like him, aired on HBO?", says Fonfara in an interview for "Przegląd Sportowy". Fonfara has fought 24 professional fights. He has 22 wins,12 by knockout. He also has 2 losses, but his last defeat came over 4 years ago. Ward has fought 26 times and remains undefeated. He has knocked out 14 of his opponents. personally, I don't believe this happens, more likely Andrzej faces Cleverly, if he beats Karpency, Ward would school him badly, not to mention Andrzej would have to go down to a weight class he last fought in 3 years ago |

Would be a pay-day for Fonfara. He would take a big beating. Fonfara is also pretty tall for his current weight class... going down further would be detrimental imo.

He has lots of momenton from surpricingly beating Glen Johnson. There are plenty of decent fighters in the top 20 that he can beat and he is still very young. I would stay away from Andre. The kid does have some talent, his team should give him time to develop further.
