He's not fighting any legit contenders. GBP doesn't want to take any risks about fighting real jr MW and he'll be line up for a fight against the 3 mentioned above.
It's a very understandable business decision. Straight to he money. At the scene. |

Chill bro... lol
I know you want Lara to get his shot, But he has his own problems right now. (Vanes) You will get your chance to see Alvarez eventually lose someday have patience. |

Did I mention Lara ? I'm just delivering the news. Some ppl was expecting a showdown with K9.But I understand the risk of having canelo fighting someone his size before may. |

K-9 is no challenge whatsoever, Cotto is the fight they want. |

Cotto is shot enough that he can squeak out a win. The Floyd fight is the safest fight in terms of health. Canelo would get outboxed, but he wouldn't take a vicious beating, thus preserving his future.
CANELO IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITHIN A MILE OF SERGIO MARTINEZ. CANELO WOULD GET KNOCKED OUT AND HE WON'T BE THE SAME. HIS TEAM WON'T LET HIM AND HE DOESN'T WANT IT (despite his claims). |

You dont have to mention lara because anybody with a brain knows this thread is the attempt for you to bash canelo because the "real jw middleweight" i bet you talking about is lara. Come on cubano, dont lie. You're a very biased to any cuban fighters and that's the real truth.

![]() Floydie is not sure if he wants to fight or not yet. (Maybe he gets the "urge" again if Pac looks like shit against Marquez) Martinez is a high risk for the "140lbs killer" and frankly out of the 3 mentioned, a Canelo/Martinez will be ranked the lowest (money wise) compared to a Canelo/Mayweather or Canelo/Cotto. Not good for Canelo/GBP but good for the fans. Cotto is the one that maybe bring in more money for GBP/Canelo if a Mayweather bout is not possible. And also a Cotto fight won't be that dangerous for Canelo as a Martinez fight will be. So yes, a Cotto fight is more likely for Saul "140lbs Killer" Alvarez. |

i would like to see canelo fight floyd if the pac an floyd fight cant be made next year(i dont think it will ever be made tho) i would like to see floyd fight martinez but he realy is to big an insted of goin after smaller fighters he should go after ward an i think canelo is the next best fight out there for mayweather but if he cant get mayweather a cotto fight could be good.

Actions speak louder than words. We can only judge him on his willingness to fight the best since he won his belt. And as of now, his recent run of defences say there isn't a chance he'll fight Martinez.
