A great notch in his belt and KOing the Knife in brutal fashion will certainly make another huge statement, but I think he really needs to enforce the Geale fight. If Geale refuses the WBA will strip him and pit Golovkin with a top 5 ranked guy for the vacant Super Title. He really needs that bargaining chip for the big money he's gonna need to generate to get those other big names in the ring with him.

Geale's going with the safe money and who can blame him. But he'll be stripped of the WBA title. After Mundine, Geale will have to defend against Soliman probably in June so scratch him from the Golovkin list altogether.

Can't blame Geale for running from this fight. It pays about 1/3 of what a Mudine fight can make. And then Soliman likely pay better as well.
He'll beat those guys handily, and then, if GGG is still a MW, he can have his jaw smashed then if he wants.

He got stripped of his belt for signing to fight Golovkin in the first place. He had nothing to gain and everything to lose in pulling out of that fight. It's illogical to think Pirog doesn't want Golovkin.
