Fuck it, man. A fight is a fight and if these two talented, young fighters want to go at it, I will never stop them. Sometimes it's good to have an exception to a rule. It shouldn't always have to be about records and status. I'd much rather see Donaire fight GRJ than Arce.

I just see the Donairetards saying ; who has Russell jr beaten so far to deserve that fight? Isn't like if junior is mathebula or narvaez

I feel his power is overrated, if anything. Every time he fights on HBO, the announcers talk about how good his power is. He's only been able to KO 12 of the 20 punching bags that he has fought so far.

Unless he catches Donaire, I doubt this will be the case. Donaire can box very well, and Russel is an aggressive fighter.

This. I dont really understand why people are all up on Russell. Donaire has proven himself and like you guys I have a hard time giving him credit as I feel he does not fight as good as he should because he is more of a show off. Something about him makes me dislike him.

However Russell is built like a midget. Donaire is taller and has much longer arms. Russell will land of course as he is quick and Donaire is not really hard to find. However I dont think Russell is all that and I have seen him struggle with lesser fighters. His hands also seem to be a liability from what I hear.

Not yet but sometime down their futures I can see it. I love seeing GRJ but he needs to be built up. He hasn't beaten the Montiels,Darchinyans,Nishis,etc of the world to say he beats or better yet obliterates Donaire. Would love to see that happen but I have to be honest. Donaire is very talented and could reign for years. Only way I see GRJ beating him if Donaire gets old so far.
