Cotto should be happy with his performance though; a lot of guys were saying he'd get Gatti'd and wouldn't win even one round, but he gave Floyd a rough time for awhile.

I think Cotto would have done better had the fight taken place in 2008, but that's just me. Margarito and Pacquiao both permanently damaged his punch resistance/made him kind of paper-faced.

Cotto had his molments. However, he was never able to sustain anything to really win rounds.

acually i thought floyd was practically on his way to a wipe out with cotto but i saw one round were floyd lost a round decisively which i believe was the 8th? and then another close round in either the 5,6,7. Fight was totally up for grabs in the last 4 rounds. But cotto gassed and Floyd closed it out strong.

Someone should have told cotto about ray leonards last 30-sec flurry technique. So many rounds were up for grabs in the last minute
