Voted slight edge to Anderson. Not just looking at resume but ability, division domination and KO / sub / Dec ratio. Anderson is the mould of every athletic attribute the GOAT MMA fighter should have. Time will show that Jones is the next .

I'm sorry but in his prime Fedor never gt abused for 4 and 3/4 rounds by a average journeyman, flash knockdowns you can defend but the way Silva was manhandled in the 1st sonnen fight was telling

Ability and resume goes to Fedor. Fedor is in all sense an Olympic level Judo fighter (representing Russia at the time when Fedor did Judo was very tough, any other nation he would have been in the Olympics). The GOAT in Sambo and Combat Sambo, and GOAT in MMA.

Division domination also goes to Fedor, the guy has beaten the best of the best, even those who is bigger, taller, and more powerful than him. Fedor dominated the top tier longer and had more wins, and was tested more from top strikers, top grapplers, top wrestlers, and simply some bad ass MOFO.

Athletic attribute? this isnt a video game or a beauty pageant. Two of the most dominant fighters in the top tier HW division has been fighters who doesnt exactly have that fighter look. Someone like Igor and Fedor. Even Manny in boxing doesnt have that super hero physique.

I could care less for Silva and Ive been posting that for years here and I love Jon Jones (not lately) but even with this I have to be very ojective, Jones would get beaten up.

There will be a time that Silva will be impossible to take down, the guy keeps getting better and I'm quite shocked because this guy came from being tripped up by Lutter with his pinky to being amused by Bonnars (who is massive) TD attemps.

I dont see how you can say his resume has surpassed fedor when 90% of the guys on his ufc resume are mid level guys, its all about context at the time fedor smashing nog is miles ahead of anything silva has done, imo he would have to dominate jones to get a win as big as that.

Anderson also fought people who he outweigh or out reached. Fedor fought giants and still didnt get handled the way Anderson did.

Anderson refuses to Fight JJ who doesnt have as much size difference compared to some guys Fedor has fought against.

You produce some good points as to why it is so close for myself and why I only just favor Anderson. You left out the bad ones.

BTW I have no idea why you think I am talking about "looks" and "super hero physique" when I state I consider athletic ablity. Manny was a bad example as well - that's a "super ped" physique according to a lot of haters (and Mayweather).
