Default Ricky Burns vs. Adrien Broner predictions?

If/when the fight happens.

Who do you think wins, and more importantly WHY.

Burns by a convincing decision I think. The yanks overrate Broner so much that it's not funny. Boxing pundits from the States (idiots like Dan Rafael come to mind) love to think their fighters are the best and would mop the floor with European fighters.

They don't give European fighters, especially us Brits, any credit unless you fight over there instead of over here (Amir Khan is an example). Broner is a good fighter but to say he's the new Floyd Mayweather is ridiculous. He's fast and strong but speed and power isn't everything. Burns has a great jab which I think he'd be able to outbox Broner with, plus I think he has underrated power.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong but I'm confident that I'm not. It's a fight I'd love to see.

Burns on points, the first half of the fight will be close, but Ricky will dominate down the stretch IMO.

My thinking is that Ricky falls just short, nout to be embarrassed about, but he comes back an even stronger fighter and if he can get the rematch down the line, I honestly think he'll learn all he'll need to know from the 1st fight, and be able to take Broner on points in a second fight.

Unfortunately, I think he gets stopped in the first fight.

Keep thinking Broner is a joke. The kid has all the goods. I hate his ****iness, but i think he will be unbeaten for a while. It will take a very special fighter or a very hard punch to defeat him. The thing is, nobody in his division has seen anything like him. Someone will surely bring up PDL, but he is improving with every passing year. It will get to the the point where people are paying to see him lose.

Broner stops him in 6 rounds

People need to accept the fact that Broner is the real deal, but the thing is he'll respect burns, and that's bad news for burns.

This will be Broners "corales" performance, and Burns will be unable to cope with the elite talent

I think Broner gets out worked and outboxed for a UD. I do rate his abilities as a fighter but I think Burns is all wrong for him.

theres no evidence to back that claim up.
Once there was a decent opponent in with him he struggled

If Ricky fought Broner in the States he would have to thoroughly outclass him to get a decision, and I'm not sure that happens.
TBH,I'm not sure Ricky beats him,but I can think of a few scenarios where he can do enough.Part of the "problem" is that we don't know just how good Broner is yet.Going on what we've seen I could see Ricky having enough, but I suspect there's more to come from Broner.
I'll fence-sit for the moment, but I learned long ago to never write off Ricky Burns.

Indeed location will be a problem (pun intended) for Burns in this case. I'm sure this fight would be close, and I favor Burns to beat Broner in the eyes of most of the public.

But you never beat a American on US soil if the bout is even remotely close. That's the real "problem".

Broner has only had it his own way. Burns had had some tough fights. You can argue about the level of opponents but that fact is that Burns has had better learning fights from his reign as champ than Broner has.

Ricky is big and strong and huge for the weight. Broner wont get it all his own way like usual. Ricky will drag him into deep water and make it a tough hard fight.

Broner will offer speed and reflexes that Ricky hasnt really seen before and it will be hard to pin him down.

But overall i still think Ricky takes this is a close but clear UD maybe 116-112 something like that. Similar to the Martinez fight. It should be a great fight to watch too, with a pretty good, tense build up.

Really looking forward to this one. Hope it happens!!
