Default Sprott packing serious heat

He looks huge. He must be ready for the bull fight Skelton is bringing.

Sprott is 243.75.
Skelton is 248.75.

In what was a low key weigh in, Khan weighed nine stone eight and three quarter pounds, the same as Commonwealth champion Limond.

It's the first time he has ducked under 9'9, and he will hold a slight height and reach advantage over Limond tomorrow night.

Nicky Cook, who challenges Steven Luevano for the vacant WBO featherweight title in the top of the bill, weighed eight stone 13 pounds and three quarters.

That was exactly the same as Luevano, who was stripped of his NABO WBO featherweight title last time out for failing to make the nine stone limit. There were no such problems this time.

Elsewhere, Bradley Pryce and Anthony Small both weighed 10 stone 13 pounds and three quarters ahead of their Commonwealth light-middleweight title fight.

Small prodded less well defined abdomen and claimed it was ripe for body shots.

Pryce just smiled and said he would soak them up all night,

Kevin Mitchell made the nine stone four pound super-featherweight limit ahead of his WBO/IBF Intercontinental fight with Alexander Hrluev, who was four pounds over.

He faced an anxious battle in a sweatsuit to get the excess off.

Really not sure mate. Haven't seen Skelton v Sprott I. Haven't seen Sprotts Euro fights. So I haven't got much on to which to call the fight.

Last fights I saw Sprott showed uncharacteristically strong power and Skelton was boxing.

I hear the first fight was a brawl with Skeltons size eventually taking it's toll. Sprott seems to have come prepared for that. Skelton appears to have come a little fitter.

I might go with Skelton. He is the bigger man and I think he can soak up better shots while coming back with bigger bombs of his own. His style is a mauler and brawler but I don't think Sprott is a polished sharpshooter who can take the W. I've seen glimpses of brillance in Sprott but never consistent. Skelton however has always been 'this is who I am, this is what I do' type of fighter. Love it or loathe it, he leaves with the W.

I think eventually Skeltons tenacity both physically and mentally will be telling. However both guys have shown us different facades to their game and this is the the theatre of the unexpected so expect anything and everything!

Thanks for all the weight and picture updates.

I think Skelton will start slow, he's been out of action for over a year, and this will be the most dangerous period for him with Sprott looking to make the early running. You can argue about whether this version of Sprott is better than the one that fought in 2004, but I think Skelton definitely is...more experience, a bit more skillful too.

The longer it goes on, the more I favour Skelton. He's a durable, solid guy so I don't see him getting iced by a hail mary left hook as Audley did. If he sticks to what he does best, using his physical strength to maul Sprott, he can get a late stoppage win. For his part, Sprott needs to box.

Ideally, Skelton will show his Sugar Ray Skelton skills early on and then get into a slug-and-slothfest once Sprott begins to tire. Or I can see Skelton outboxing Sprott.

That, or Skelton brawls; I'd then pick him by late and telegraphed stoppage.

Additional: Skelton looks like he's covered in ticks.

In slight height advantage do you mean 3inch as Khan is 5 10 while Limond is 5 7. Khan is going to be a big bugger one day.

Skelton is in great shape for him but Sprott looks great, it is nice to see him full tim nowdays instead of bing a bum for the germans.

Sprott has done well on the Euro stage. No shame there.

Khan isn't 5'10, closer to 5'8.5. He has an inch or so on Limond. He visibly has longer arms and a wider back though.
