Default Would an American HW King a PPV attraction in this era?

Let's say a highly skilled, exciting styled and well spoken American HW beats the Klits and cleans up the Division. Could he be a PPV draw fighting guys like Mitchell, Haye, Povetkin Wilder etc?

And would his race play a role? A black HW Champ got always attention from the African American community but how about a White Champ? It looks like White America doesn't give a single **** about Boxing anymore.

No. It would have worked if this happened 5 years ago, so we can all build up to a super fight with elite Vitali and Wladimir.

As of right now, Wlad is 35-36 and Vitali is 40+.

You can be the greatest marketing genius ever and there is still no way you can get a ALEXANDER POVETKIN VS 'Insert American' fight to sell 2 million PPV.

Prime Lennox today will be 100x more popular than he was. A Prime Lewis will have all of England at his back.

I feel that England is only a 'step' away from becoming a boxing hotbed in terms of popularity. I don't see anyone saving American boxing.

You can insert a Prime Mike Tyson in today's division and he will be extremely popular, but he would never ever reach the levels he did in terms of popularity during the 80's and 90's.

American boxing fans need stories and riveting rivalries. Tyson beating up the cans early on was always leading to the big mega fights with the well known names.

Ironically most of them never happened, but there was always the suspense of 'Tyson got Big Fat George next' 'oh this young holyfield want a turn'
'oh Rid**** Bowe is here now' 'oh this Brit Lennox Lewis is here now,'
It's exciting to think about potential match ups with other dangerous fighters.

A Prime Tyson today in America after K2 retires have who to aim for? He's gonna aim for a 'mega fight' with KUBRAT PULUV? The suspense is gone.

England's different. The nationality factor plays a much bigger part when it comes to British boxing. A Prime Lennox today will be immensely more popular because Brits will adore seeing him jab the inferior fat babies like Arreloa and Solis to death. (i don't think Lewis will need to use a right hand against them anyways) Story lines, rivalries, etc those are nice. But 30,000 will still pack arenas just to see a young Lennox caliber fighter beat up on Chazz Whiterspoon as well.

PPV doubt it, i mean if Wilder steps up and continues to KO guys early he could be viewed as an exciting attraction

Yes, of course; the only reason boxing is a little less popular, right now, and in America, is just because there isn't Top boxers; but not that the americans boxers have diminished their level, is just that boxing have moved on, and the level required to be great (1-3) is higher; Ah, and of course, this american champion must be black; americans, for historicals reasons, seems to think that only a black can be a good fighter, so, no black = ****ty level, for them only.
