Daniel Geale's breakthrough win was mid last year when he traveled to Germany the underdog and beat Sebastian Sylvester for his IBF middleweight title. Sylvester went into the fight with a record of 34 wins, 3 losses and a draw, and was making the 4th defence of his title.

Holding both the IBF and WBA middleweight titles, both won in Germany, Daniel Geale is rated behind only Sergio Martinez by both The Ring and BoxRec.
Daniel Geale is well on the way to becoming the most decorated Australian born fighter of all time. More to follow

I thought Geale won most rounds and wasn't surprised 2 of the judges saw it the same way >>>
Berit Andreasen 110-118, Steve Epstein 118-110, Marcus McDonnell 118-112. Not sure what Andreasen was thinking? Assuming he was thinking. |
