1 year earlier.

Fought Hatton in June of 2005.
Either way, so you answer this, so do you think that Barrera was Past his Prime in 2003?

boxrec is bad if you don't look at the records in context to the time. At that time Tz didn't fight that much honestly. He was still in the tops, just that there was a long layoff from the time I think he fought Mitchell, which was around the end of 2004. After beating Judah Tz only fought like once per year. He was still P4P number 3, when he loss to Hatton he had immediately retired. In the 2005 rankings P4P you see Hatton is p4p number 4.

i think tszyu was almost off for two years between the jesse james leija and mitchell fights. he did look fantastic in dismantling sharmba mitchell though. it seems as if the layoff had not effected him at all. 2004 was like the year of the long layoffs and comebacks. both tszyu and trinidad came back those years and looked fantastic against mitchell and mayorga respectively. however both man looked lethargic and full of ring rust in their next outing.

As Barrera's my alltime #2,it's tempting to make an argument for saying no,but the truth is,he basically admitted that Pacquaio was a stylistic nightmare for him,so the reality is,even though I could make a case for him being slightly past prime,he probably would've lost to Manny in 2001 or any other time you care to mention.
At least he's big enough to admit he just couldn't work him out. Many top guys will always have an excuse or reason for it going wrong.

He wasn't past prime Somewhere in between, Barrera was 29 and a lot of boxers these days get cred for beating up 30 plus boxers. When Manny fought Morales.Em was in his late 20's and early 30's.This version of Morales is old as hell and SHOT as hell.Marquez was 31 at the time. But definitely Pacquiao fought these 3 amigos when they were more than capable of throwing it down and dishing it out.

What part of annual don't you understand? It was at the END of 2004, TZYU went into the fight as a top 3 p4p guy, and lost that status at the end of 2005 because he LOST to Hatton.
