Getting up from the illegal forearm actually added to the quality of the victory, it shows how real champions fight through adversity in boxing to get the victory. How many times has jones been knocked down in his career and how many times did he get up and win the fight jeff joiner

Seems certain posters have become sensitive. Still though EG, don't let it detract from your quality thread

Remember a near prime Jones got stopped by Glen Johnson who's good but far from great. Makes you question how great he is H2H

It shows that Joe was never in their level if a shot version of Jones with no legs can drop a peak Joe that's what it really showed !

Your trolling is at least funnier than most, I'll give you that. Your mate (and I mean that in the American sense of the word) Bailey should learn to have this much fun in agenda threads.

To be honest pal, I put my VCash on Roy Jones, but knew to only use VCash not real cash. I wanted Calzaghe to lose, so tried to keep the Calzaghe hate going by showing support for shot Jones.

Maybe the reason why so many chose Calzaghe to lose was because they never rated him that highly and thought even a shot Jones can win. Or maybe they all fell for the HBO 24/7 trap in making a fight look closer than it is. You remember the aftermath of Mayweather - Mosley 24/7, people fell for the HBO trap and put their VCash on Mosley.......... but does that mean the Mayweather win should be rated more highly because of a 24/7 series.
Great post pal, its refreshing to see such honesty on here.

The fight between this version of Joe and this version of Roy can not be used to determine who would win a prime vs. prime fight between the two. Both men were deteriorated by the time they fought.

A guy can look at old fight tape and speculate, but reading too much into this cash out bout is pointless.
