I Can vouch for the guy. I fought on Hyders pro Am show in blacktown yrs ago, one of the pros was from the same camp i used to train at in Albury, was promised a purse of 2k, he barely got 1k and the excuse given was that ticket sales on the night were not so good. I was around 18 yrs old at the time and knew enough to know what he did at the time was shonky and dishonest.

And its not imo why he has had to put all his eggs into the one basket, he was getting a bad name in sydney for doing it and his bullsht contract he was forcing fighters to sign was becoming more known. I am not sure why but imo his shonkyness is what lead to fenech punching him in the head.

Im not sure if it was posted here or on the ABF forums, it was a while ago, someone else shed light on it and they had alot of info about it, it was a while ago now, way before Hyder hooked up with Green. Would have to search these forums and / or ABF forums to find more details. They basicly had to signup for a specific amount of fights and the purse was a fixed amount with a high percentage going to hyder. Allan Luxford was one fighter who signed the contract.

Allan Luxford, Brendan Batty, Wills Brothers, Johnny Cotterill Jr., Marc Bargero & a few others all seemed to fight every single Hyder FOX card on the Central Coast.
Often vs tough recycled Filo's. |
