No shit man. Even if Floyd beats Pac today he is not considered in prime. But when Pac is in prime he is not an ATG. Serious people some use some logic before they start accusing boxers.

At the time, both were just contenders, had no idea both would go on to legendary careers afterwards. |

i agree. im not accusing him. The point of the thread is: Are there any examples of other boxers that have managed to go through 5 divisions at floyds level, without ever facing a prime ATG. I'm not accusing, I'm asking if there are any other examples. |

ATGs are being judged throughout their career as a whole. Whole as in their complete career. You can assume someone will become ATG. Keyword assume.

Floyd has a good resume, but when compared to somebody like Pac that was jumping up in weight... Doesn't compare. Floyd actually used to fight really good competition, but last 5 years or so has really cherry picked. Makes Hatton move up, makes Marquez move up almost 2 weight classes, fights an older Mosley but he was coming off a good win (so did Pac though), fights Ortiz who didn't deserve it, etc.
I'm thinking you will be able to add guys like Broner to your list pretty soon for those who jump so many divisons but never fight any greats. |

This thread is just a typical lame attempt to discredit Floyd's resume which in reality you can switch Floyd to ANY boxer's name instead and they will ALL FAIL. Because Again, i can't emphasis enough. There is no such thing to be "IN PRIME" and Already an ATG. Virtually impossible bc ATG is judged by their career as a whole.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Floyd's opposition who he has beaten Prime undefeated fighters to out of prime and in prime opponent. The man has done it all. The only thing that DQed him as being a GOAT is that his pro career doesn't consist of 100+ fights. |
