Mayweather 8-4 or 9-3 decision again. This version of DLH maybe quicker and fitter but defensively probably more susceptible and he never seemed capable of fighting 3mins a round and not a ring general at all. Let's not forget the fight at 154 with a small ring really suited DLH

Floyd still wins. He might have to dig deep, but he'd still win. De La Hoya struggled enough with that version of Whitaker, who is not as good as prime Floyd.

In their actual fight, DLH was a fair bit bigger than he would be against Floyd at 147, but Oscar was much quicker and sharper at 147, and Floyd wouldn't take the risks needed to get within Oscar's range enough to outpoint him.

Floyd's defense is still too good for Oscar to rout him. This would be close and tense.

Whilst we're at it, Ike Quartey and Tito would beat Floyd at 147 too.
Do yourself a favor and don't place bets.

That version of Whitaker still beats Floyd imo.

No chance floyd dominates a prime Oscar, that`s a very close fight regardless of the winner, in fact I`d lean slightly towards DLH actually.

Mmmmm... I`m not sure about that, any version of Whitaker up until the 2nd McGirt in 1994 fight beats any version of floyd but he was past it in the DLH fight in 1997, still a very good fighter but his activity had dropped considerably & that suits floyd perfectly.

Still a damn consistent jabber though.

I didn't say DLH would be dominated but he'd struggle to land clean and wouldn't win many rounds, no doubt about it

I think Floyd honestly tools Oscar at lower weights, but 147, when he's at his worst and Oscar came into his best, I don't think he manages it.

DLH 116-112.
I can definitely see the logic in picking Oscar to do better...when he fought Trinidad, the guy was a talent. I think the fight would unfold much the same way their actual fight did except Oscar's flurries would have more speed and carry more pop at the weight...and with that said, DLH may carry this to a decision.
But also the one thing to consider is that Oscar never did make a tactical change in that fight that worked... It was said he stopped using the jab...really? If something is working in a fight...do you stop if you're having success? I don't think so. According to Freddie Roach, Mayweather took away the jab, because Oscar lost focus and started following Floyd instead of cutting him off or stepping with him...in essense, Oscar was taking himself out of position to throw his main weapon. I don't think Oscar would have fought any smarter when he was younger than when he was more experienced in that regard tactically...and also Floyd would have matched him better in physical strength at the weight...Mayweather is not being muscled around by anyone including Mosely at the weight. And with that also said, Mayweather's body work would have a better effect if Oscar was smaller.
Floyd decision for me.

I agree with the several who say a competitive decision win for Oscar.

I have De La Hoya winning on points 116-112, but the compubox punch stats would show that Mayweather would by no means be the loser. You wouldn't be able to say 'Mayweather lost the fight'.

..Nevertheless I DEFINITELY have ODLH winning.
