I think this really does come down to mentality.It's in that department that Haye would never have met anyone as comparable to Dempsey.
A peak Dempsey was a killer not one single ounce of his being could be intimidated. It was the whole package with him there was simply a hunger and desire within him due to
his circumstances coming up that Haye just wouldn't be able to overcome.
Haye probably has a few physical advantages in this and I say only probably,but that wouldn't be enough here.
They're two different animals,one really meant it,the other just plays at it.

The difference being is that the technology had evolved to make above average cars spectacular compared to their older counterparts (that look beautiful mind you)

My oh my no one knows anything in this forum! Haye beats Jack Dempsey? How many great trainers rate Haye as one of the all time greats? I can list a half dozen all time great boxing trainers who rated Dempsey as the best. Sam Langford any stretch of the imagination one of the very best stated.... "Dempsey is the greatest hwt I have ever seen". A nobody like Haye in an era of really bad hwts who will never be anything and will more than likely never be mentioned in the record books would beat Jack Dempsey? Is there a boxing forum not populated by children?

I didn't say Dempsey loses to Haye, I said the opposite.

All measurable sports have improved and become more specialised and scientific. Boxing is a bit different in that over the last 20years the participation has decreased and it's become somewhat marginalised. However in Dempsey's time participation wasn't that high either and it was a fledgling sport.

Haye's style does has it's weaknesses:

wings his punches at times
low hands
ineffective inside
flat footed

As does Dempsey's:

No jab
low hands
left hook happy

Due to the training science available to him Haye has built a much more powerful body, Dempsey is much fitter being less lazy

I disagree. He unified the cw division and established himself as the best available challenger to wlad. He came up short but I would expect the same could be said for the vast majority of heavyweights.

Did he really unify the cw division ? He beat two of the titlists. He didn't fight the IBF champion. He didn't do much to establish himself as the best available challenger for Wlad - I mean, he was not a stand-out challenger in pure fighting terms. He was just the latest in a long line of undistinguished challengers. He established himself as a big payday. He held the WBA title - but so did Valuev, and Ruiz. He was just successor to those old relics. Wlad should have had that WBA belt anyway, since beating Chagaev, but the WBA have some funny rules.

Yes the IBF was plastic having been stripped from the Bell-Mormeck unification, no he didn't beat 'titlists' he beat the man in the division and a titlist too

Anyway Dempsey fans downplaying Haye's record when Dempsey's is just as bad especially with the losses to fatboy Meehan
