Bob Pastor enrolled at NYU but gave up college to pursue a career in boxing. He also taught ski troops in WWII.

Frank Moran went to Pitt and studied to be a dentist (hence his nickname)

Wee Willie Davies also went to Pitt, graduated and went on to become a career schoolteacher.

John Henry Lewis got his degree from Arizona State University. I have a picture of him wearing his cap and gown somewhere.

MENSA is a club with an IQ test.
You don't need much of a formal education, a degree or anything like that. It's just a problem-solving test or two and you're in.

Fidel Labarba was a Stanford grad.
Steve Hamas was “The Penn State Collegian”
Tunney was self-educated and he did an excellent job. Otherwise George Bernard Shaw woud have ripped him to shreds instead of befriending him.
GBS did not play!!

loads more no doubt.
Tunney was apparently considering going to Princeton at one point which suggests he was not without smarts, but as someone else has alluded to there were many who thought his intellect was something of an affectation. He regularly sat down with journalists with classical literature under his arm with book marks near the start of the book only for the same journalist to see him the next day with a completely different book marked near the end. Not saying he was not a clever guy but certainly played up to the image.

Prospect Monk Foreman (George III) I believe was strongly advised and guided into college education before becoming a professional fighter. And, just based solely on a hunch, the way Amir Khan speaks, I assume he's got a degree in physics.
Diaz has not earned a J.D. He may or may not be in law school. I know it's a goal of his though.
