Cancel Christmas..........it's on!!!!!

We all need to busily prepare ouselves for this mythically epic encounter........the changing of the gaurd.....

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

Arguable a more important fight outside of Thailand than inside Thailand this is still an epic and hotly anticipated fight with big bragging rights. Held at a catchweight of 71kg with weighing taking place on the morning of the fight.

All we need now is Aikpreecha to take on Buakaw and then the winner takes on the winner of Kem vs Yod.......This aint Los Vegas it's BKK baby the place where all dreaams come true especially in the Fight Game!!!!!!!!

Then we need that Floyd V Pac type Mega fight of the Buakaw vs Petro rematch where Buakaw sets the record stright on that appalling Scadinavian Heist!!!!

Gotta favour Kem in this one but it's a pickem fight alright.....

Yeah this looks pretty good Boran. I too would favor Khem but I'll be rooting for Yod.

A little ways off from this one, do they have a full fight card listed yet?

THAI FIGHT 2012 SEMI FINALS from Korat, Issan.

Thai Fight is progressing with the semis happening last night (25th) in Korat in Issan that great famed hotbed of ATG Thai fighters. No big upsets here, just happy times if you’re a fan of Thai fighters kicking non Thai tail. Buakaw, Singmanee, Sudsakorn & Iquezang, the Thais on the night all easily dominating their bouts. Iquezang putting on the fun performance of the night for me the way he toyed and played in a Somrak/Samart type way with the hopelessly outclassed Italian (poor fella ).

On a lot of other forums and sites the last day or so people have been slamming Thai Fight a bit for the way the Thais are so easily dominating everytime and how Buakaw “is getting force fed easy fights”. Well I don’t see it that way, sure we’d all love the see Buakaw fight some more credible opponents in the swansong of his career but the opposition just ain’t out there and he’s become a Thai superstar to boot. People talk like there is this giant pool of top tier Western MT fighters out there that can hold their own with the best Thailand have to offer, but the truth is there are only a handful, with most now contracted under other banners like kickboxing promotions Glory & K-1 etc. where the paydays are better and the night less stressful not having to get fed to Thais every fight. The other issue people are missing is Thai Fight is not hardcore Muay Thai at its best, never was, never will be and was never supposed to be, you’ve got Raja and Lumpinee for that. Thai Fight is just a bit of fun where Thais “do battle” with foreigners, infront of casual Thai fans who go home happy full of national pride having been reminded they are still the topdogs in their own national sport, plain & simple. Remember for the Thai fighters who are fighting late in their careers, these fights ain’t serious, they’re fighting comparative novices, it’s their playtime, so just relax and enjoy the show………..

67 KG Tournament

Singmanee Kaewsamrit (Thailand) vs Mehdi Zatout (France)

It was probably the most competative bout that invloved a Thai. Mehdi was fiery and brave but outclassed and Singmanee never really had to do too much and foolishly relaxed in the 3rd. Credit to the Frenchman for trying put some fire in the fight all the way to the final bell, but he just didn’t have anywhere near the skills…..

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]Andrei Kulebin (Belarus) vs Adaylton Pareira De Frettas (Brazil)

I can understand why Adaylton felt he won that one with all the throws, but the truth is Andrei is the better more solid fighter although he didn’t really show it til the 3rd. I wish the Belarusian had opened the bout the way he opened the 3rd, would’ve been a much more entertaining fight. He was way too tentative, probably more comfortable with the traditional 5 round distance as opposed to just the 3. I think it’s safe to say Singmanee ain’t gonna lose any sleep the night before the final!

70 KG Tournament

Buakaw Por Pramuk (Thailand) vs Nishikawa Tomoyuki (Japan)

Bad quality sushi for dinner! The great one makes it look oh so easy ……again and again and again etc. I know, we all wanna see the great one in more wars, but he can only destroy what’s put infront of him. Nishikawa although hopelessly out classed and out gunned in every department was tough, hearty and durable, he managed to stay in there til the end which demands some respect. Remember Buakaw’s last two Thai Fight opponents didn’t last the 3 rounds…..

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l1jN85WseU[/ame]

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gc8hKfiEJI[/ame]

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]Vital Hurkou (Belarus) vs Antero Hynynen (Finland)

Vitaly Hurkov def. Antero Hynynen via Decision (Can’t find any VDO of this so don’t know how it went down).

Other fights on the card:

Sudsakorn Sor.Klinmee vs Mohammad Hossein Doroudian 70Kg

What can one say, but it’s just oooooooooh soooooooooo easy……..peach of an elbow! The Iranian never stood a chance, terrible match making.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z-51l7dXJQ[/ame]

Iquezang Kor.Rungthanakeat VS Cecchini Simone 67Kg (FUN FIGHT OF THE NIGHT)

Gotta love Iquezang’s utter contempt for the abilities farang fighters, LOL what a showboat, maybe we’ve found the new Ramba Somdet!!! You gotta remember tourneys like this one are relaxed pure playtime for the Thais. Although outclassed the Italian looked to be a well-schooled fighter and you gotta give him some credit for getting out of that 1st round without any damage or cuts considering the amount of elbows that were flying in, plus that was a classy grab and sweep he put on the over confident Thai.

It’s final here the 55th Lumpinee B-Day bash and what a giant Christmas stocking it is bursting with big names and the promise of big, big, huge, massive nuclear action……

There is no understating just how massive card this is and has MT fans the world over quivering with excitement. It’s got everything: heavily anticipated rematches, top prospects, ATG comebacks and multiple title fights with some of the world’s greatest Muay Thai warriors on display. If you’re not familiar with some of names with the exception of Saenchai, Pornsanee and the Thai fight boys led by Buakaw this card is stacked with some of the biggest names and best current Muay Thai talent the world has to offer sprinkled with a bit of magic dust also offering a couple of ATG giants in Jomhod and Somluck. If anyone’s reading this that isn’t really an MT fan but curious or just loves combat sports you need to check this out. I’ll be posting the fights after the event as soon as they are up.

D-Day Friday the 7th December!

Full Card:

Kanokrat Sot Tienpho vs Rotnarong Teedet99

Sarawut Pitakparpadaeng vs Sam-D Petyindee academy (Lumpinee Light Flyweight belt)

Superlek Wor Sangprapai
vs Saengmanee Sor Tenpho (Lumpinee Super Flyweight belt)

Tingthong Chot Koiyuuhaaisuzu vs Nongbia Chokngarmwong (Lumpinee Super Bantamweight belt)

Penek Sitnumnoi vs Petpanomrung Wor Sangprapai (Lumpinee Featherweight belt)

Sam-A Gaiyanghaadao
vs Pokkaew Fonjaengchonburi (Thailand Featherweight belt)

Yodwicha Por Boonsit vs Nong-O Gaiyanghaadaogym

Petboonchu FA Group vs Diesellek Udonmuang (Thailand Lightweight belt)

Saketdao Petpayathai vs Mongkolchai Petsuphapaan

Singdam Kiatmoo9 vs Wanchalerm Udonmuang (Lumpinee Lightweight belt)

And wait for it..................

Somluk Kamsing vs Jomhod Kiatadisak

Don’t forget we also have the giant matchup of Yodsanklai vs Khem on the 30th just to really make sure we all end the year with a BANG! Haven’t got details of the card yet…….(Seen anything Yaca?)

Good line up on the birthday card boran, lots of belts on the line. No, I still cant find a full fight card for Khem vs Yod either but it doesnt really need one that headliner is enough to get attention.

How is Penek and Sam A gonna fight on the same night, at the same stadium, in the same weightclass (featherweight) and not be matched against one another? I guess thats my only complaint of this card...

I will be hoping for a Somrak victory.

Ps. Still havent watched the Thai fight card yet hoping to watch it later today.

That's agood point about Sam A and Penek, I didn't think about that, but after all the cancellations your right....how is that not happeneing on this card?

Even though I'm a Somrak fan I've always had a soft spot for Jomhod, he came to fight in Europe in my early days. (He demolished one of my trainers with leg kicks and punches inside 3 rounds!). Even though it's an intersting ATG matchup albiet well over a decade past when it would've been dynamite, it's a better match up than Somrak's last bout. The difference is though that Jomhod is looking every bit his ring age as he never really stopped fighting since his heyday, he looks really really old and gaunt for his true age, way too meny battles. By comparison somluck still looks pretty good, all that partying must have paid off!

Don't get too excited about the Thai fight card, all unfortunate mismatches, but I still enjoyed it. Sudsakorn's elbow was a peach and watching Iquezang hilarous. Next months finals are gonna be pretty predictable.

I now what you mean, but if one thing's certain about Thailand, there's always another great card to watch!

It turns out excessive drinking and gambling is the secret to longevity.... if your Somrak.

Your right about all the mismatches in the Thai Fight promotions, it really is the exception when they are matched up tough(as some of them were a couple cards ago). I look at the promotion as mostly a showcase for the Thai fighters.

I reckon the moment Buakaw hangs up his gloves for good Thai Fight folds. He's thier golden boy, without him I'm not convinced Sudsakorn, Singmanee etc have the name recognition to pull caual Thai people into watching the promrotions. It's run by an entertainment guy not a Muay Thai guy. He spotted an oppurtunity and took it, his timing was right epecially with Buakw's succes at the time. Thai Fight dies without Buakaw.

Not sure where to post this one, Saenchai et Damien Alamos on Skarbowsky's recent show "Best Of Siam 2". It's kind a topical so I'll post it here.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tqKF3cJDHA0&feature=g-all[/ame]

On alot of other forums popele are saying the decision is wrong, but to me it's pretty clear I give Almos 1 round maybe, the rest is all Saenchai. I know I'm a Thai nu thugger but to me Saenchai was playing and Almos wasn't, he did wellbut came up short. He got put on his arse in almost every round! Anyway, I'm a massive Almos fan, he's gotta be one of the best farang fighters out there, his time will come, but Saenchai is just a cut above.

The truth is I don't reckon Saenchai trains that hard these days especially with his fight diary always being so crammed. I don't think he has any other motivation other than money, but it's hard to tell. I think his rep in Thailand matters to him a little but other than that I don't think he gives a shit. Hard to know what drives a fighter like that to keep winning, with Buakaw we know he wants to please all his fans and cement himself as a Thai hero, but with Saenchai it's really hard to tell what drives him on.........does he want to be GOAT? I don't think so.....

Anyway he's a utter MT god let's enjoy him while we have him. All hail the king!
