Well I'm excited for their fights.
If KDH would have beaten Condit he was promised GSP. one flying knee and a freak take down against Maia and he is on the 'fake' UFC card. Still he has got the best judo in mma. his striking is good, if he committed a little more he could challenge GSP or at least put another 5 fight winning streak. Kyung Ho Kang is a hell of a fighter considering he is 25. I've watched his last 5 fights and he is the real deal. |

Kyung Ho Kang is out against Cacares, unfortunately.
Speaking of Koreans, I was really looking forward to seeing Hyun Gyu Lim make his debut on the weekend, but he is also out with an injury. Last edited by Rob_Floyd; 11-09-2012 at 05:33 AM. |

Dammit all three of them are still on the advert in Korea. It's a shame neither of them are on the card. Road FC is a competitive competition and fighters compete regularly and they are sharp. I like Hyun Gyu Lim. He's aggressive, any fight he is in is going to be exciting.

There were some big claims being made about him, like nobody at WW having a chance standing with him. |

I had sushi with Akiyama around 2 months ago and he said he is retired. I might have got that wrong because I don't speak Korean. But if he was still fighting I'd have to go with Akiyama aka Choo Sung-hoon.
Lombard and Kim are both 4th degree black belts. Both could have chosen to be Judo practitioners and not fight MMA. I can't find KDH judo record anywhere online but he is a judo legend in Korea and he's got an amazing record. |

Pure Judo I'd say he was at an extraordinary level. Fedor is the worlds best Sambo practitioner. Sambo mixes traditional Asian wrestling, Greco Roman wrestling and striking. Thats probably why he has such a freakish advantage and ridiculous record as a HW. He was able to use his skills to win in any position in any circumstance. I see an argument for best HW Judoka player in mma. But if he went to the Olympics he might have a harder time copmpared to KDH, or Akiyama.
