No Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in my new city

I just moved to North Bay, Ontairo for work purposes. You think that they would have a BJJ school here, but nope. They do have some places that have traditional JJ twice a week for $100 a month, way too exspensive for what you are getting.

Has anyone ever had this problem? What did you do?

Any grappling would be good. Greco, freestyle wrestling, judo, or even a far fetched Sambo. Try your luck, u never know.

buy some mats, start your own club. invite instructors to seminar.
gracie university is a good resource and provides ongoing support.

Yes, and I´m brazilian ! Not now though, there is many BJJ gyms here in Santos, but I prefer to train Boxing.....

Maybe call them. Their info says, "Northern Alliance teaches classes in, BOXING, WRESLTING, JIU JITSU, MUAY THAI and CONDITIONING".

It maybe No-Gi and not BJJ but it's better than nothing I guess...

Yeah, its a problem in northern ontario espesially in small towns like I lived in. I had to teach myself how to fight people in the bigger centers in combat sports like Judo and Karate.

Its good in a way though it makes you be unique from other fighters. I used a lot of change up ideas like in baseball in my fighting.
