Does anyone know, which fight this is from? I've seen it listed as being from Dempsey-Firpo,for obvious reasons.
But other photos of the fight confirm that Dempsey wore white trunks and the referee had a full head of hair.
Also, looking at the fashions,it seems the photo was taken in the 1930's.

I'd say the above photo is early to mid 1930's and maybe middleweights possibly? Is the guy falling out the ring Garcia? Is it Garcia? You know the one who drew with Henry Armstrong?

Here's the ever familiar face of Sam Langford

I've got a British printed antique copy of a autobiography of George's Carpentier that I found in an antique shop in the back street of Paris France a few years back and it says in the book that when they awarded the decision to Jeanette there was a near riot such was the crowds disgust?? Carpentier was a beautiful fighter - like a fencer - his right hand was amazing as well

Baer was a huge guy he had a 45" chest with a 48" expansion and he had a wing span of i think 81" - one journalist described as having to instinctively turn sideways to get his shoulders through doorways - think some of the footage is quite deceptive coz of the way he sometimes pranced around in the ring tiptoeing around and he had a slim 32"waist and skinny looking legs but in the upper body he was huge - saw footage of him as a guest to a Sonny Liston fight where he come in per-fight to shake both fighter hands and he looks quite a bit bigger than Liston - Curtis Hatchet Man Sheppard said knocking down Ma Baer would be akin to chopping down a tree
