Ali's handlers throw in the towel after a horrible case of dysentry having eaten at Butterbean's restuarant, whereby in the process the towel hits Butterbean and knocks him out, leaving the ref no choice but to declare himself the winner.

Here's some more food for thought for those scoffing at this match up.
Ali took 12 rounds to stop Jimmy Ellis whereas Butterbean stopped Alvin Ellis in 1. Ali backed down from a fight with Wilt Chamberlain but Bean manned up and stopped George Chamberlain. And the clincher, Butterbean finishes strong and wants to keep going after 10 rounds with Larry Holmes whereas Ali quits on his stool after 10 with the very same Larry Holmes. Esch is a very live underdog here my friends. |
