Age isn't important, it's experience. And Fury is now 19 fights into his career, not that I think his record is bad at all for someone at this stage, because it's not, but being told every single time he fights that his opponent is either much better than they actually are, or being told that they tried to X,Y or Z but it fell through at the last minute is really Tiresome.

Also Froch wasn't even a pro at Fury's age so i'm not sure what that's got to do with anything. But while we're at it, Brian Magee was Froch's 19th fight

Brian Magee was like fighting Chisora at that time.
Froch had been a pro for 7 years at that time. Fury has been a pro for only 4 years.

He is only a couple of years older than Alvarez.

Alvarez is considered one of the big names and the big hopes for world boxing.

Furys opponents arent really that much worse than his opponents and he is a world champ. They are not the same level of opponents but they arent that far behind.

Just wanted to through that out there.

I thought Dimitrenko retired? Would be a good choice if possible though, a similarly sized super heavy. Ustinov another maybe?

Someone said on another thread that Perez - Chagaev is off, one of those would be good if so! Tor Hammer, Kingpin, Dimitrenko, all should be a step up and so acceptable for me. Or maybe Thompson or Charr; recent Klitchsko opponents.

It's at a stage where if they want more 'learning' fights for him, which is understadable as he's still young, then it should be on the undercard of a solid Degale headlined show or something.

Tor Hamer was approached and declined.

For all the hate against Fury, most other prospects are worried against facing him.

Chagaev is a massive case in point for the fear/respect for Fury, he said that he needed a lot more time to be ready to face Fury ... but then accepted Perez. Clearly signifying which of the two he personally thinks is the more winnable contest.

we have to be realistic though

Chagaev and Boytsov both turned down fights with Fury, it's unlikely that any top guy is going to get off the couch, 5 weeks before christmas, to get in the gym and prepare to fight Fury in less than 3 weeks
