They want to see more stand up in UFC because wrestling on the ground for a UD is boring. If they want to see more stand up, why don't they turn to boxing?

submission is still exciting to watch but is much harder to pull off now than it used to because everyone are trained on it.
so it somewhat becomes boring in the ground when the other knows and counters what the other guy is doing in the ground. its more fun to watch their wild strikes and sloppy punches landing on poor defenses. like anyone can get ktfo anytime. btw, rhonda's arm-bars is the flavor the month now, pretty exciting. |

Thing with UFC is every fight can go just 2 ways bad stand up or good wrestling/bjj and i'm not crazy about wrestling...but i watch alot of ufc and get pretty pissed off by some fighters in stand up like they never heard of head movement...

Stand up in MMA terms also means you can do kick and throw knees. A prime Crocop was a joy to watch with his high kicks.

It's a fairly ignorant statement. Obviously the use of elbows, knees and variety of kicks come to play. Add that to the risk of being taken down. It's hardly comparable.
Sometimes you see two sloppy sluggers but the fact theres just an inch of foam makes it a little different |

I watched Here Comes the Boom last night with Kevin James. crappiest movie ever, and I LOVE Kevin James and Salma Hayek.

Anything you're allowed to do in boxing, you're allowed to do in MMA. And in MMA you have SO SO many more options for attacks. SO SO much more to train. How anyone can say that boxing is deeper as a combat sport than MMA is beyond me. ![]()
