Does anyone in Australia actually expect a close fight? For me ( Living in the United States ) it is clear cut that Mundine has faded a lot recently and Geale has improved. Since the first Wood fight what has Mundine done? Beat an old, shot Branco McKart?
Geale is coming off an excellent showing against long-time WBA champion Felix Sturm where he impressed me with his solid workrate and stamina throughout. Very consistent and that will be hard for the old Mundine to acutally deal with. |

i rekon mundine will be training the house down and will try and use "tricks" to annoy geale in the ring but if he's lucky he will go the distance and wont embaresses himself to much

I just can't see how Mandy can come up with anything to trouble Geale for more than 3-4 rounds. Mandy could barely keep pace last time, this time he'll be fairly flogged. |

I have picked geale to win everyone of his fights since mundine. And again I see this as his hardest fight to date. Sturm and Sylvester do not throw enough and don't have that 1 punch ko power to worry geale. Mundine is quicker then geale unlike anyone else his fought and in this fight will follow up if he hurts geale.

the stress of the entire nation watching in on this fight, more so than the first will be a test for geale but geale has improved as a boxer and fought better oppents than mundine since they last met, and mundine has gone backwards he has lost speed , his work rate has noticably dropped off , the only positive i see in mundines boxing is he has matured and is timing his shots alot better and his ring movement has improved alot, , the weight drain and the injuries have taken there toll on mandy... geale has this easy... mundine better be wearing a lucky rabbits foot around his neck into the fight... |

I'm interested to see the result but I don't think I'll enjoy the fight..Shaker has been in a couple alright scraps but old Pitty, god bless him, is tiresome to watch at the best of times.
I don't think Zac quite has the pop to end things abruptly either. |

the way to beat geale is with lots of movement. mundine doesnt have it anymore because of age and his hip problems. mundine doesnt win a round. i think he has enough skills to get through the fight, but saying that a late stoppage wouldnt surprise me one bit.

I think Mundine will do a lot better than most people think. I thought he showed a little bit in the McKart fight that wasn't there previous 3 or 4 fights (Woods 1/2).
Mundine will not be starving himself and will come in right on the limit and put on more weight fight time than Geale will. Geale deserves to be favourite but i'm starting to think he may be a tad overrated by some on this forum. OK he beat an aging Sturm by SD and also Sylvester......... Geale should win but expect a big showing from Mundine |
