perhaps. i don't know the behind the scene details. holyfield didn't spend that long with steward, and with his financial problems he probably had to borrow money for a plane ticket and fly coach to detroit. wonder if oliver mccall went?

Which goes to show you the type of man Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield is!

Emmanuel Steward only trained Holyfield for his rematch with Riddick Bowe.
They parted ways right after because they could'nt come to a financial agreement as to what % Steward would get.

Not to knock Steward, but he held a grudge against Holyfield for that and it showed in his interviews when discussing Holyfield.

Despite that, Holyfield is at his funeral, no grudges.

I dont see pictures of Lampley, Merchant, etc.......

Would have been nice to see at least one of them representing.
