Seen him a few times and has Talent certainly is on the front foot quite a bit on what I have seen of him, still only 27 but think if he gets a decent trainer behind him they could iron out a few problems he has, could never have beaten Golovkin but could worry quite a few Middleweight I think.!!!!

He was regarded as very dangerous and hard to hit..GGG just walked him down with ease and then called out all the 154ers to 168ers,basically smashed himself on the scene...

at the aussie posters on here who think geale goes all calzaghe on golovkin, who by reading the posts of people who think Geale would win, think Golovkin is nothing more than a predictable plodder with huge power. If he was, sure Geale would win. But the people here don't see it or don't want to see it. Golovkin has a great boxing brain and great ring smarts. If Geale elects to get technical he will come off second best. If he elects to slug it out he will painfully come off second best. Saying it now, Golovkin is the only guy to hang with Ward at 160-168. Not saying he would beat him but it would be very competitive. If Golovkin goes up to SMW and destroys a 6'4, full blown, solid chinned Thomas Oosthuizen on January 19th then its going to make the worlds middleweights even more shitless to fight him than they are now.

Noone said hes a predictable plodder, but Geale has a good chance of beating him. Geale loves power punches, and though yes, ggg sets his shots up well, Geales speed and pace will frustrate GGG. If youve ever watched Geale in with a puncher, you would see how comfortable he is with them. |

and golovkin wont get frustrated by geales movement, he will cut the ring off and tee off at him, geale has good footwork and decent head movement but he is no pernell whittaker. He dosent have some world class resume anyway he beat a paper champ in sylvester who was beaten with ease by proksa. An sturm was on the slide and had been coming off hard fights against murray and macklin (with the latter beating sturm more comprehensivley than geale).

Yep fair enough, youre entitled to your opinion. Would be an awesome fight. From what ive seen, GGG seems real good at reading the next move of his opponent to set up a bomb. Geale is real good at throwing off his opponents timing with slick movement and capitalising on the mistakes it creates. I would love to see this fight.

WTF??? They gave him 90 days, then took it off him in 60 days. How does that equate to him throwing it in the bin??? There was an attempt at getting this fight to happen. It even went to purse bid. GGG's team did not bid or make an attempt to get a promoter to get it to happen.
