Did Donaire win a medal for that? Professional boxing is not the Olympics

GTFO with that shit.
please. as if Americans are desperate for athletes. fact is, Donaire IS American wheter you like it or not. he learned to fight here, he went to shcool here, he speaks the language. he is American, Flipino American. no different frome Abner being Mexican American. the Bay Area is where he calls home.

why you mad?

Donaire is American so is Viloria.

America should be credited more than Philippines.Since Donaire and Viloria are products of American amateur boxing.

I thought Donaire upped Nish's retirement pension.

I don't go by nationality or ethnicity when I root for fighters. In fact I personally think that's one of the silliest things to factor in. I go by personality, skills, and how a fighter presents himself overall. I'm a Rigo fan and I had absolutely no problem deciding between him and Donaire. I couldn't care less whether Donaire is American or not. He's not likable in my book. Donaire should fight Rigo in '13. There is nobody else for Donaire to fight (GBP fighters aside) after he destroys Arce. If Donaire fights a bum or moves up to face Salido or PDL he's clearly ducking Rigo. No excuses.

I dont get why Americans call Donaire American when he himself will tell you he is Fillipino. It doesn't matter what you think, he says he's Fillipino and he's the only one that can tell you what nationality he is.. not some toothless redneck.

You've had a conversation with him where hes said hes not american?

Maybe he considers himself both American and Philipino?
