It's insane. Those couple of years might well be the best run in history.

So in just a little over a year, Armstrong wipes out Pete Sarron (the only KO loss of his entire career) in taking his Featherweight Crown, runs through numerous highly rated lightweight contenders including an undefeated Beauhold, KO's Chalky Wright, batters ATG Barney Ross (1 defeat in the previous seven years to McLarnin, avenged) with a weight disadvantage in one of the ten greatest wins in boxing history, taking his Welterweight Crown in what would've been the only stoppage loss of his career had Armstrong not eased late, wins a absolute war with ATG Lou Ambers in taking his Lightweight Crown that had Henry swallowing his own blood over the last several frames to avoid a stoppage, then turns around and defends the Welter title against No. 1 contender Ceferino Garcia.

That's a ****ing Joke. And only encompasses a portion of what was a COLOSSAL Peak in the history of the sport.
A totally & absolutly mindbending acheivement that really in all truth belongs in a pulp fiction novel

I first heard of Homicide Hank from my old man, i was yapping the praises of my own generation & he suddenly blew up & said yer no SHYTE!! Henry Armstrong would have thrashed these pricks today within an inch of there lives, one after the other! I stood gob wide open as i'd never seen him flip before Thats when he roared out how Armstrong held 3 title's at once!!! I could'nt take it in! How can yer hold 3 at once i squeaked! Easy when you're that good he replied & then went onto explain how henry jumped between the weights battering all in sundry & then added, if yer don't believe me yer little prick go look it up & with that i skulked off well chastened

Even his 'past-peak' resume is immensely impressive.

Most recently have had it as:

01. Robinson
02. Armstrong
03. Greb
04. Langford
05. Charles
06. Fitzsimmons
07. Duran
08. Leonard (Benny)

Although 1-6 can be twisted and arranged in a variety of different orders. Quite an accomplished bunch.

i know opinions are constantly in a state of flux, doesn't matter, just vote for your current choice. poll is public.
This question above the poll is open to interpretation. Who achieved the most what?

If it's a measure of fame and legacy I would argue Ali. Regardless of the fact he was a heavyweight and others in lower divisions may have had longer, even superior ring records.

P4P achievements. Of course a modern day sympathiser like yourself would prefer Floyd Mayweather, but still

Maher x2 (outweighed against big puncher)
Corbett (outweighed, HW title)
Sharkey (battered him, robbery DQ)
Nonpareil (won MW title)

But of course you know all this anyway.

True D, but lest we forget Harry Greb had FORTY FIVE bouts in ONE year WINNING them ALL...How great Hammerin Hank was Harry Greb was BETTER in that a Fritzie Zivic would never had stopped Greb even in the twilight of his career . Greb fought and beat more HOF champs than
Armstrong did , licked great LHs and heavyweights, fought the last FIVE years with the sight of only one eye,and had 119 MORE recorded bouts than Armstrong did...What made Greb a greater fighter than Henry was Greb was more versatile, took less punishment in his fights as Harry was
bouncing to and froe, throwing unlimited barrages of blows, and NEVER giving his opponent the ball as they were too busy defending themselves.
I have Greb, Armstrong, Robinson, Benny Leonard, Langford and old Fitz
as my top NON heavyweight All time greats, for what it's worth....
P.S. I saw a past peak Armstrong lose vto Ray Robinson and Beau Jack
at MSG. Robby won an easy decision over Armstrong playing with him and my favorite crowd pkeaser Beau Jack outsped ole Henry...There will never be another Henry Armstrong with a pulse in the low 40s...Cheers.

Prime Randy Turpin, and admitedly it was a short prime would be a problem for any middleweight.
