I think people are underrating Salido's skills here...he's not overly easy to hit, especially if you're not pouring on a lot of volume, and while Mikey's accurate, he tends to look for openings as opposed to creating them. Salido would force a fight on the inside IMO, he's too clever to be kept from finding his way in there.

Tough fight to call, I don't know if Salido is ready to pass the torch. Garcia will have success fighting from the outside, but Salido knows haw to get in and make fighter fight his type of fight.
Garcia still has not been pushed to the limit and needed to dig deep to pull a win, I'm sure Salido would be the one to do this. |

I'm not sold on Mikey Garcia at all. I think he's very mature for his age and has very good foundations.
But as much skill as he has, he also has weaknesses. I was not impressed at all during his last outing, but I won't judge him too harsh on that. What I do question would be his corner, game plan and over all experience to be able to deal and adjust to Salido. I remember JMM winning, but not having the easiest fight against Siri. So technical skills might not be enough. Salido by decision |

I'm also not sure Garcia knows how to fight backing up. He can box at range well, but haven't seen him take too many lateral or backwards steps. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5A_w80UeZg[/ame] Listen to those body shots. |

I still got Garcia winning this fight. His last fight was more competitive and Barros was a game opponent. He didn't seem ready to hang 'em up before the knockdown, and didn't seem to hurt from the knockdown and he signaled his desire to quit. Garcia must have been punching pretty hard IMO for Barros not opting to continue.
Anyway, Garcia needs to get some more head movement in there, and some body work. Head hunting wont' take out everybody, and if he can take the wind out Salido, he could stop him late. |

After MG's last fight I to am going with Salido.
MG has a puncher's chance BUT Salido is known to be able to take more than a single punch and is also known to give it back. I would guess a 7-9 TKO. |

He was very lineal with Barros. I hope he's aware he can't do that with Siri Garcia's inside game will be tested greatly. I feel I'm posting the obvious, but I'd just like to get my point across that Siri is being underrated and actually has the upper hand for this bout. .[/quote] |

Anyway, after last fight, I'm leaning a bit more towards Salido. This is one of the fights I'm eagerly awaiting. I have already bought my pop corn for that day, and I keep a calendar on my wall from which I scratch the days. |
