Rightly or wrongly, I think this hugely influences the perception of Roy Jones. I really do. And even though I think his victory over Tarver is arguably his most impressive performance, I think his 175 standing would be HIGHER had he retired on the aforementioned note, even though he would not have regained the 175 pound strap before losing the rematch to Tarver which started his mental down slide. |
