There's no great competition at 135. If Broner wants to prove himself then he'll have to move up to 140 to face guys like Gracia or Matthysse or Khan.
I've just watched his fight against Demarco. Broner's power wasn't so impressive. Only those accumulation punches that got the job done. |

Now I'm very interested to see if Broner can crack Rios' chin. I was impressed by Broner's inside game and the amount of punches he threw. How would that go against Rios? Broner obviously has faster hands but Rios is no Demarco when he brawls inside.

Well yes that is the plan, but IMO he can still solidify himself at 135 and prove to a great fighter, if he can take out Burns and Vazquez would be a great accomplishment.
At 140 there are a plethora of GBP great fights to be made... Broner if he is special will have the shot to prove himself at 140 and 147 in a few years. |
