He did save the club, but he was also responsible for the mess that got us on the brink of extinction in the first place. While in charge, the game changed, Piggins didnt, and the rest is history.

I have no ill feeling towards him, but his failure to acknowledge the business side in league is his own downfall, and his unwillingness to accept Souths simply because they've been privatised is just pig headedness, and vain.

Yeah "he helped" save the club, he was a good figurehead for the war, but he was always going to be a disaster once peace was brokered, we'd still be existing on fucking chook raffles & going for bargain basement players because according to George, that all we could afford, meanwhile membership goes down, crowds go down & we're fucked
