I wont say size doesnt matter, but last time I checked, BJJ was created by a skinny wimp to give himself a high percentage of victory against larger opponents, and I get the feeling that Silva's BJJ is sufficient to deal with someone a weight class higher than his. Silva's BJJ was good enough to slap a white belt triangle on someone of Sonnen's caliber of wrestling, so I fail to see why anybody thinks GPS at any weight stands a chance especially after seeing a guy like Condit nearly catch GPS in a triangle earlier tonight. |

The point I was making about Condit getting his legs in position for a triangle on GPS is that if Condit could get his legs up on GPS like that, Silva would have locked in the choke. and when I said "puncher's chance" earlier, it was meant to be a blanket term for "luck". This is a boxing forum. You should know better. |

You are trolling, though. You can't admit that you have only seen one Jones fight and then say that you know more about MMA in 2012 than anyone here. It's trolly and dumb. You are getting small simple things wrong that you know are irritating, and that is just classic troll tactics.

Furthermore, if a guy as telegraphic and non explosive as Condit could drop GPS the way he did in round 3, then follow up with a ground n pound that everybody is expecting and has trained for, you look at what Silva does in that scenario and how he takes a moment that nobody else does to assess the situation and chooses to finish the opponent rather than resort to Mark Coleman style and we get back to the point of this thread:
GPS is wise to duck Silva. |

I figure it's because you probably only started watching the sport after TapOut started producing t-shirts |

Follow the sport and you won't need people to explain the style/advantages of a top 3 p4p guy. If you haven't seen Jones' fights, you don't follow the sport. It's simple.

Just tell me.. Break it down. Why does Jones beat Silva? I wont hate on you for it. I 'm willing to break down why Silva whoops GPS any time of the day so explain to me how and why Jones beats Silva. Get technical. I promise I will understand and I really am interested |

GPS was asked by Rogan about Silva. GPS ducked the question. I posted that GPS was wise to duck the question because no matter how good GPS is, he's just not good enough for Silva. |
