Early odds on a Price v Fury fight

Fury @ 3/1 against? Furys fought better competition, been in tougher,more competitive fights, and is by far better prepared for this fight.Hes been decked, had close results(macdermot) been in big fights(Chisora)

If they both come through there next fights. Fury will be streets ahead in terms of pro experience. Pricey brings undoubted telent and confidence, but is untested, has question marks over his chin.

I like Pricey, but at the moment he s the epitome of a hype job. Hes had it all his own way and been way in his comfort zone for every fight

If this fight happens next year. I cant see how Fury is not a favourite for it.

Price is becoming a Hype Job, he's fought nobody whatsoever, and although he's looked good against those nobodies, it's getting taken out of context.

He has had many chin problems in the past, although young he was still a full grown man, and i'm not inclined to think his chin has improved, chins don't improve.

Price's best hope is that he can go the Wlad route, having fighters too intimidated to really go for it, and being technically solid, to negate when they do.

Price is a nice enough guy but I have serious doubts over him.

Fury is a bit different, he's raw as hell and has a lot to learn, but he's not fragile like price, even when he gets hit on the chin he might wobble a bit, but he's a fighter, and e fights back, Price falls to bits when he's hit and that's the difference.

Fury has a long way to go, he might even lose to Johnson, but long term he's got more upside imo

Honestly, until Price shows me he can handle being in a fight, i'll go with Fury.

You have to remember both are at different stages of their careers. Its not a textbook. Price will have a Euro scrap soon, and Fury has decided go the WBC route. Either way, both will likely fail in world title attempts and will no doubt fight each other at the end of 2013 or 2014. I cannot understand the stick Price is getting from some corners.

The perception that Fury gave up the British title to avoid Price is a factor in those odds.

You must know that on ESB if someone is performing well and getting praise, then they're duty bound to then get pulled apart and called a hype job too. Forget that Price is at a different stage of his career to Fury and isn't the one proclaiming he's world class now, despite not having the struggles Fury's had at domestic level. That actually makes him inferior you know? He's fighting Skelton & Fury's fighting Johnson so clearly Fury is the better prospect of the two.

I like Fury the person, but British boxing needs to get shot of him IF they want any chance & respect at 'proper' world titles and champions.

Price is an allround better fighter & prospect!

Bute might be a better boxer than froch. But going into that fight Froch was battle hardened, travelled and had experience out of his comfort zone. Bute had been protected and mollycodelled. Look at the result, fury-price could well be the same

yeah but Fury's NO Froch!!!
