He's so in love with Ward now, but he'd drop him like a hot potato if Ward ever lost. Dan's fickle as they come.

A huge majority of writers do the same. I wouldn't credit the source if it was a press release. That's why they put them out and, if you're the chief commissioning writer (which he appears to be on ESPN), you don't have much time. I'd be surprised if it wasn't his sub crafting those pieces under his name.

He's grown arrogant and lazy these days, which is why he steals the work of other writers and passes it off as his own. Believe me, he's got a lot of enemies in boxing writer land.
Give me an example and the source he stole from. I don't doubt he's unpopular, I think he's a wanker.

I knew one guy, a trainer, who used to email back and forth with Dan, and one time the guy dared to disagree with him on something, and Dan quit talking to him, instantly. That's how thin-skinned he is.
Nothing unique to him being a prick.

Its true though. Delluded froch fans think beating mack somehow means he would ko ward. Fact is, ward used frochs best opponent (a fight he lost) as a stepping stone to greAter things.

Which is why publications buy the distribution rights. Nothing wrong with that.

I've always seen him as a glorified blogger and not taken much notice tbh. I just checked his twitter and he's saying the US won the war of 1812. 'mericans.

Yep he said "Iv'e been reminded the US already beat England in the war of 1812 rematch" A guy commented sayin "You are, to be frank, an idiot" Dan replied "You are, to be frank, banned" What a moron Dan Rafael is surprised he gets away with that and as soon as somebody gives him a little bit back he blocks them.

The funny thing is the guy who tweeted him saying about the 1812 war is British and im pretty sure he was pointing out to him the British already beat America after the revolutionary war.

Don't sit on the fence. I don't mind him- he comes across as a bit of a know it all when on Ringside though.

The guy scored Ortiz/Berto for Berto. I don't think we need to go into how qualified he isn't or how biased he is. His history speaks for itself. He's completely biased and often has no idea what the hell he is talking about or what happened within the fight he's just watched. To a shocking degree. However, boxing coverage is horrible amongst the major sports. How often do you see a news source getting weight classes and records wrong when reporting outcomes of major fights? I mean, something no one who can find boxrec should have a problem with and they're journalists. It's sad. The fact that Rafael is the main ESPN guy speaks volumes and says nothing particularly good.

...Yet, I cannot argue with that.

I remember that. I know he had another terrible opinion around the same time but I can't remember what it was, though I can remember him making distasteful comments about Briggs when he was in the hospital after the Vitali fight. For as much as he seems to like boxing, I don't think he's the most knowledgeable and he's often classless.

I agree with this. Boxing journalism is terrible.
