jesus Lampley. makes me cringe just about every word he says. he's been calling fights for a thousand years and still doesn't know what the hell he's looking at. I think Merchant is mostly okay. He doesn't assume things like he knows everything. he'll ask technical boxing related questions to Roy or big George when he was there and it at least seemed like he was trying to learn something. I liked his comment in the first round of the Mitchell-Banks fight last night. "Can he be schooled, or is he the big kid in the schoolyard you don't wanna mess with."

Most of the commentators annoy me. The only ones who don't are Steve Farhood, Barry Tompkins and the Boxeo Telemundo guys. I also enjoy Bob Sheridan and Benny Ricardo, just for their over the top commentary. It's enjoyable, in a WWE kind-of-way.

I'd really like for the HBO team to be more unbiased, but leave the pizzazz and the flare only great commentators can do. Bernstein and Roy Jones are the best for unbiased view of a fight in English, but Dr. Alfonso Morales has always been my favorite as he has the ability to make a fight sound more exciting with a charisma second to none and has the knowledge of a Bernstein. Finito Lopez is a great commentator too. But yes, Merchant and Lederman sometimes can be alittle stubborn, but especially Lampley he seems to go with the crowd or majority mentality. He won't really study or look into controversial fights as he should, failing to understand a different point of view.

The phrase I hate hearing from ANYBODY, IS, 'styles make fights', isn't that FKN' OBVIOUS, and when people say it, they pause, THEN say it, like it's SO profound.

I hate it when the winner gets grilled in the post fight interview more then the loser. Merchant and Kellerman can be huge trolls sometimes. A guy can win via knockout, but all they want to talk about after the fight is the left hand he got hit with or why he couldn't finish him sooner. The loser gets off the hook as long as they put on a semi-courageous effort.
I just wish they'd focus more on the positive things and let the winner have their moment, |

Too many covering fight, too much talking. Yu would think they were calling fight on radio. I hate opinions on details from know nothings like Lamply.
Kellerman, and Merchant, trying to stir up shit in interviews pissed me off. Kellerman smiles while instigating, making it worse. |

Same here, Lennox Lewis too. Kellerman sucks, and I must be the only one on here that can't stand RJJ and the HBO panel's constant cocksucking of him when he's on
"what a terrific shot to the body, he must have been watching tapes of when you used to throw masterclass-level body shots, Roy" "hehe"
