I'm not defending it totally.

I agree with those who say it shouldn't be for a CW title.

What I don't agree with is when people say Green is forcing the weight.
No one has been forced to do anything. Cameron had a choice to fight or not.

I also believe the fight will be competitive, irrespective of the weights.

If the opponent feels it's ok, which they clearly do otherwise they wouldn't have signed, then who am I to argue.
I suspect the opponents know more about what's right for them than anyone here does, particularly a ****wit like you.

Catchweights are nothing new.

He's forcing it by way of only giving the opponent probably 10 % of his purse if they don't make the catchweight in a fight that their career desperately needs.

I don't see how any boxing fan can respect Danny Green for this nonsense. Good ol' fair dinkum Aussie Danny Green.

I know exactly what you're saying, but I don't agree with it.
The opponent has a choice.

I don't respect Green at all, but whoever came up with the incentive weight idea is damn clever.

I saw Green was paying $5 to win by decision so i've had some coin on him i thought it was great odds,.
There has been a shitload of money for Cameron he's into $2.50 on the tote and he's $3 to win by K.O

Notice how nothing has been mentioned from Team Greeny that this fight is at another joke catchweight. Their just hoping that their mong fans won't notice I suppose.

There is an article that was published yesterday and it has comments from people who have read it, one bloke said it was at catchweight blah blah then a gronk Green fan comes along and posts saying its not at catchweight

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]

[Only registered and activated users can see links. ] There is no catch weight in this fight. The CW limit of 200 pounds stands. Green fought Tarver and Wlodarczyk at 200. Jones wanted the 185 limit, as did Siaca. Briggs was never a 200 pounder. Flores wanted massive dough, really unreasonable money for an untested fighter as he was then (and still is) and so the Green camp said "ok you want a payday- on our terms". Cameron dropped down 18 months ago and had 3 fights at 200, winning the Commonwealth title in the process. He is accustomed to the weight, there aren't any weight draining issues here. No smoke and mirrors Chris......

unfortunately, green has again offered cash incentives (like he did with flores, briggs and siaca) for his opponent to drain to a certain weight for the fight - or fight for peanuts
its bad enough green advertises himself as a legit 3 time world champion (which he isnt), its even worse that he can fight for a 'title' at a catchweight and be gifted a CW title doing it !assuming cameron complies and weight drains for the extra $$$, you can expect his punch resistance to be down and he'll get KO'd
