A month out and time is ticking away on this one. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see it on the Ward vs Pavlik undercard.

If this fight happens, all Stiverne has is a left hook. Watching him vs Ray Austin was really dull outside of the TKO.

Got a feeling Arreola is going to suffer his first proper ko loss here.

I dont know what anyone sees in Stiverne or how they think hes going to beat Arreola.

The guy struggled to beat a shot Ray Austin.

Stiverne's win over Austin was a WBC world title eliminator. Yet despite this, Vitali has not mentioned Stiverne's name once.

The WBC and Vitali have conspired to ensure that Stiverne does not get the opportunity to smash Vitali's "iron" chin. Stiverne will annihilate Arreola and then there is no way out for Vitali except retirement. Stiverne is one of the hardest hitters out there, only Leif Larsen and David Price are on a par with or have greater power.

The WBC have apparently approved on it being an eliminator. The fight has to go ahead first of course, and Venezuela is starting to look a longshot for the venue.

Top post. Stiverne would batter a lot of HWs out there today but he is terribly promoted. Bernd Boente knows that Stiverne is a tough customer and they have done everything to keep Stiverne out of the picture for Vitali. Vitali was tagged a lot by very limited but durable Manny Charr--imagine what Stiverne would do to robotic, and now slightly malfunctioning, Vitali? It would be frightening.

Remember what happened last time when Vitali faced a Canadian of Caribbean heritage? It was not pretty. TKO6.

Hearing virtually nothing in the build-up to this fight. Probably long odds now that it will be held in Venezuela.

Don King is apparently struggling to get a major network interested in the fight casting even further doubt about it taking place this year.

OFFICIALLY POSTPONED

Surprise, surprise. The WBC eliminator between Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne scheduled for December in Venezuela has been shifted onto the Andre Ward vs Kelly Pavlik undercard in Los Angeles, on January 26th.

Don King, Arreola's promoter, won the rights with a crazy $1.1Million, but couldn't get things done. Dan Goossen, who has Arreola, and came in second with a bid about half that size, is now calling the shots.

Great news. Cris will have a huge SoCal contingent of fans, like me, cheering him on.

Don King needs to get the **** out of the business already. All he is doing is stalling fights and fighters careers. No tv network works with him and his roster is almost non-existent.

****in die already and take Arum with you.
