Both cards are quite clearly PPV worthy. What devalues its price almost to the point were it should be free is that it wont be in HD.

I agree with the people above, I'm going to Hatton so that's not an issue. I didn't watch Manny/Marquez 3 and probably won't watch this but realistically who watched a PPV on their own? Split the cost and stop crying.

We had 8 people round for Chavez/Martinez, £2 each. If you lost £2 you wouldn't even bother looking for it.

Again the only issue is HD, I watch everything in HD. I watched Hatton Vs Urango last night on Crimetime and it really is shocking. People who say there isn't a difference are cheap and trying to justify not paying the cost for a TV and/or subscription.

The lack of HD wouldn't be such a problem if their Standard Definition transmission was decent, but it's not.

When Channel 5 show boxing the picture quality is very good in SD. Same for when ITV showed boxing. Primetime transmissions should be just as good, but they are a bunch of cheapskate amateurs and they compress their signal to buggery so it looks like you're watching a moving Monet painting. The web stream is shit too, and for the same reasons.

If they broadcast in HD it would still probably be a heavily compressed transmission, so it would still look you've smeared Vaseline over the telly, only not as much as SD.

it's not just Crimetime that do it too, the Boxnation stream is shit as well. Foreign broadcasts aren't as bad as UK ones, though.

Like I said, cheap people say this to justify to themselves the fact they haven't paid for HD TV or subscription - there’s a huge difference, the only way to watch sports is live or in HD.

Of course there's a difference, you must have a really shit TV not to notice. Are you sure you can even watch digital tv now the switchover has/is happening?

If you don't care about picture quality, then fine, but you are definitely in the minority. I bet you still use video tapes...

I actually agree with you in that watching boxing in HD isn't the great experience some might make it out to be. As I said, a good SD broadcast is fine, the difference is far more noticeable with a shit channel like Primetime who compress there transmissions more than others.

However, HD broadcasts are fairly standard now so it's perfectly reasonable to expect Primetime to offer it, especially considering what they charge.

An HD broadcast will have more resolution, and should have more depth and better colour rendition than SD. It should simply look better, although this may or not be important depending on what you are watching or how fussy you are.

Yes it is not important to me.

Now, if the picture was in black & white..? that would bother me.

HD is overrated.

I have got a digital HD TV, the picture is good enough.
