Well...Kelly asked for it and you know what they say about being careful what you wish for. If you recall...Arum was simply hoping for a good showing against Bute when that fight was pending and even said as much which you don't hear often from a promoter in a big fight. Pavlik was thrown to wolves once when he was thrown in with Miranda on the Taylor undercard. He was supposed to be Edison's stepping stone to a title fight. This is night and day from that. He cannot beat ward on points and is going to have to fight borderline reckless in the hopes of landing something big. If not it will be very one sided IMO.

Been a longtime Pav supporter but he's going to have to throw caution to the wind here. But hey, what does he have to lose?

Why did Pavlik pursue this fight instead of Carl, bute, dirrell, or kessler who would all be matchup better against his style. Ward would school Pavlik as bad as Bhop.

All those fighters(except) already have one or two bouts in the pipelines.

Have to be realistic about the possibilities, and I'm guessing they know Dirrell will just be a stylistic nightmare for Kelly. Too dam' fast, and no belt to boot. Plus Dirrell is not seen too favorably by the networks "nowadays".

Don't know why he didn't take the Edwin Rodriguez fight though.

What does Pavlik have to lose? Nobody thinks he can win anyway so he has a lot to win and nothing to lose. If he loses even every round it will leave him where he is right now along with everyone else in and around wards weight. And if he wins somehow it will go down as one of the biggest comebacks of all times.

He can probably make decent moeny in the fight and he is not going to be in there with a destroyer that is going to put a lot of hurt on him.

The guy who should be afraid is Andrea Ward If Pavlik unleashes on him the way he can. Pavlik can pretty much put a career ending beat down on him and he could never be the same again. Pavlik has runined boxers before.

Repeat after me: Andre Ward is not in the same class with BHop, and the comparisons are idiotic. You fucking morons need to get that, and stop insulting Hopkins.

Been saying it for ages, Ward will cherry-pick now he's out of the Super 6 contract. He'll live off that and become a Calzaghe Mk II.

Who would you recommend he fight? He's already beaten the top guys at 168. 175 is a horrendous division right now.

Now, I do like Groves, might be a fun fight in a few years.

Ward deserves an easy fight and Pavlik is still a top 10 fighter by every major org. Im a big Pavlik fan too, but he's in over his head.

*You're

Yeah, obviously for NO reason. Go back to some of Boo's and Hermit's old posts about AA and you'll find a shit loads of reasons for me to hate on Pavlik.

I won't say anything else because you're a decent guy and I've nothing
against you, db.
