Default Prime Gerry ****ey vs Prime Andrew Golota

How does this fight go down? I think this would have been exciting while it lasted.

Gerry has the *****, the big, big power, and in his best form, the chin and the doggedness to force the worst in Golota out.

Golota would press and be better early, but unlike Larry Holmes, would not hang around to finish the job. Gerry starts throwing those crazy left uppercuts low? Golota would have a meltdown.

Im inclined to agree, i think gerry gets underrated sometimes, & on the other end Golota will always be the king of ridiculous ****ing fouls when he was actually doing quite well

****ey is too big and powerful. Gerry was what 6 foot 6? With a formidable
jab and an atomic bomb for a left hook. Tommy Morrison s hook didnt move
Foreman. ****eys moved and possibly hurt Foreman. Action packed fight,
Golota cant avoid the lleft hook, eventually gets tagged. ****ey TKO 5.

Golota was more physically durable of the 2 but mentally Gerry has the edge although also plagued with confidence problems stemming from his abusive father. ****ey boxed well early and threw a crazy double hook to the body and head, this may be enough to give Andrew permanent doubts but other than mental Andrew was more of a complete fighter when he could maintain his balance. I am leaning towards Gerry keeping the distance early on and hurting Andrew early enough for a quick exit on his part.

Prime ****ey would be ****ey of the Holmes fight and Prime Golota is Golota of the two Bowe fighs. ****ey wins too much power. Bowe was good puncher not great. When Golota fought great punchers he went down early-Lewis-Tyson.

****ey has Golota by a mile in power. But yes Golota does have outstanding boxing skills for a large man. Good foot movement, excellant jab, overall fast hands. He actually seemed to be just getting a rhythym at the end of round two against Tyson when he quit(wisely it turned our because of a fractured bone in his neck) but Prime ****ey was dangerous. His left hook was lethal, and I just envision it hurting Golota when they begin to trade.

Could have is the key. Golota had immense talent but he was a mess between the ears. He was no doubt the more agile and faster HW, I could see your point on that especially with how bad Spinks made a washed up ****ey look, but he went down to big punchers and ****ey was a big puncher. ****ey refused to sign with Don King in the early 80s and was frozen out of fighting in the HW division, he also developed substance abuse issues and Alcoholism so he was basically never the same after Holmes but I would take that ****ey over alot of other fighters including Golota. Who I don't want to sell short. He had excellant skills but I just don't trust his mental make up when pushed.

The ****ey that fought Holmes would probably beat the Golota that fought Bowe.

Two huge fighters. Golota was dirty and had no skills. ****ey did hit much harder and had a powerful left hook. ****ey by KO.

****ey was a fast starter with big power, Golota will be looking for a way out early.

I think Golota had more tools, but Gerry started faster, and in a war like this, it is hard to go with Golota. Gerry's left hurt, and when the going got tough, Andrew looked for a way out.
