I'd argue he isn't a great... he just may very well be.

He will beat Kessler, He can blow out Pavlik, Dirrell, finish an overdue Hopkins once and for all, and don't rule out him beating Ward either. What says he can't on current form. This fight has to be made and soon.

Outside of all this Froch IS a modern great!

nor do I, I'm just giving my thoughts on who and how Froch 'might' beat these fighters IF they should meet within the next year to year and a half! On current form I think he's better than all of them!

just opinion & speculation, but I would feel confident betting on him!

It's unfair to criticize Froch's record because it doesn't have many great fighters on it; there aren't great fighters for him to face. The only potentially great ones is Ward and he has fought him & there's no shame in losing to him. The fact is he has beaten some real World Class fighters and never ducks a challenge. That's to be admired in the modern day era.

Looking at his actual run, no one is ever going to convince me he beat Dirrell I'm afraid so he gets no credit for that from me but linked to that, I also thought he nicked it against Kessler and was a bit unlucky there. Johnson was an expected victory but Bute, Abraham and Pascal were all very good wins whilst I think the Taylor KO deserves more credit than it sometimes gets.

I think Froch is a credit to British boxing and look forward to whatever he's got lined up next.

I think it's unfair to criticise Froch for that too. But measured against other greats he falls short due to his era.

It annoys me when people try and discredit the win over Taylor, with the ''he was dominated for 11 rounds'' crap.

Anyone would think it was a repeat of Calzaghe vs Lacy, but where Lacy lands a Hail Mary and the Gods grant him victory at the end.

Plus, hardly the first fighter to stop an opponent in the last round whilst behind on the cards either.

I wouldn't go that far but i'd Favour Froch in a rematch

Froch has tightened up his game a little, and made some improvments since the Taylor/Dirrell days.

Also, excluding a two round sparring session against a tin can, Dirrell has been out of the ring almost as long as Hatton

and he doesn't have anything in the works since that sparring session a year ago, he's basically not even a boxer anymore

in the meantimes Froch has fought Kessler, Abraham, Johnson, Ward, Bute and Mack

I'd actually like to see that fight but I have a feeling dirrell is just going to be one of those guys who vanishes

Dirrell isn't all that anyway. Bernard Taylor was not thought of fondly for his negative display against Pedroza all them years ago, nowadays that brand of stylist is lauded with 'pure boxer' accolades.

I'd prefer never to hear or see Dirrell's name ever again. Waste of time.
