I am talking specifically about the Charles of the first marciano fight, he was an amazing fighter that night..fast, skilled, crafty, couragious, unbelievable stamina, great chin.
and fresh off 2 explosive KO's over Wallace and Satterfield showing great form and a serious attitude

No version of Jones ever beats Charles. That Glass Jaw would get obliterated.

Prime for prime Jones wins a UD, Charles probably wins a UD or late KO over this version, Roy was gassed after about 4 rounds. Charles is quite a bit smaller than Tarver though

Charles was not a pressure fighter. He shouldn't be favored over any non-shot version of Jones.

I would pick many fighters at Light Heavy to beat that version of Roy... Charles included..

It was all Roy could to to squeak out the last couple rounds against Tarver, but to be fair, that was a very motivated Tarver, probably at his very best, and the worst version of Roy ever at the time.
